more later...

i've a pretty packed morning and afternoon, but i'm hoping to be back a bit later with more words.

plus also? i've been awake all night worrying about everything and my lillie. i don't think her teachers are treating her kindly.

i just kissed her out the door and instructed her to be respectful and be the sweet lillie i love...but don't you dare let a low-rent cow make you feel any less than the greatest person ever invented.

she giggled and gave me her chandelier smile that absolutely guts me. i will probably who am i kidding definitely need to fight for her today or tomorrow, but i need to run fast for a few miles before i even think of what i'm to do.

a little later, friends, ok? ok, then. xoxo.

Hope all goes well. Sometimes I just totally want to change education so kids like lillie, so every kid finds a way to shine. School should be nothing less than a fantastic musical production where everyone is the star. Because they all are, and they deserve to feel like that.

Oh man, did you really say that to her? I love it. You are such a good mom. Good luck on taking care of the issue with her teachers. That is the worst feeling - you just want your child to be seen like you see them - as all sparkly and beautiful.

I'm here for back-up. Just let me know. No one is going to make that incredible girl feel bad. And if they do, I'll just transfer my boys there so the teacher can really see what bad is. ;-)

did you know it only takes 2 bad teachers in a child's life k-6 I think to completely destroy a child's education?

I just learned that this year from a principal. One teacher and the child can recover at some point. two and their education just dissolves [drop outs/bad grades/bad behavior]

I had one in college. she ended up talking me out of a art degree said if I couldn't swing her class I would never make it in the real world. It was color theory class by the way. Come to find out a number of years later I'm great with color...it's just tha she was a HORRIBLE teacher and most likely bitter she hadn't made it in the real world. Go Figure.

So...
kick that low-rent cow in the ass is what I'm saying. Throw a kick in for me would you?

Oh Karey, I so have been where you have been. Both my boys had so so teachers this year. First time in 5 years, we got the duds..... bound to happen once in their schooling. Made it so hard to justify the ridiculous fees.... but the boys still embraced their challenges. Good life lessons...despite the heartbreak. Big ones teacher in the week 2 parent teacher interview described a child that was not ours. He boxed him up and didn't give him a chance... despite his Class Captaincy, ra, ra. After report card in semester one, we raged up to the school and low and behold, semester 2 ... awards, accolades... he just didn't bother to get to know our boy. Little ones teacher straight out of Uni, more interested in her own fashion than the boys.... liked the ones with nice fathers... go figure. Oh yes, I fight for mine too.... lioness. I have even fought the bullies too...dobbed them in.... given them 'the look'... don't mess with my boys...you're gonna have to fight me first. A-M xx

Oh gosh, the fears just never stop when you are a parent. Just when you think you can stop worrying when they come out with 10 fingers and 10 toes, you start to worry if they'll talk, then make friends, then....it never ends, huh? Thanks for your sweet words on my blog today. I was about to sign out for the night feeling a tad defeated and needed a little encouragement like that. Cheers to you.
