it's strange, the list of things-that-probably-will-never-happen-but-that-still-scare-the-britches-off-me. you probably have a similar list, don't you? here are my top five. this morning.
one. wooden stairs and socks.
two. a lion attack out of nowhere.
three. replying to all.
four. piñatas. which is really more about the sticks.
five. when you're leaning over the sink, brushing your teeth, and then you look up at yourself in the mirror and there's a killer in a balaclava standing there. this has only happened once. and it was gracie. but, whoa.
golden bandit bunny. too bad it's sold, bunny! have a sweetheart weekend, you little sweethearts! and if you find yourself forced to run up a dark staircase, just be sure to throw out several donkey-kicks in case there's a murderer chasing behind you. it works. tah-rust me. xoxo.

Oh yes. I could go on and on... Parking garages. Subway platforms. Wooden stairs and socks didn't scare me until two weeks ago, when I fell all the way down mine and felt like I had run a marathon the next several days. Ugh. Add them to the list...
Thank you for a good laugh this morning. I needed it. And gracie in a balaklava reminds me of my 5 year old, who, at 2, would come and stand next to my bed until I woke up. Standing, she was the exact height of me lying on my bed, so I would open my eyes to EYES staring me down, so close. Thanks for letting me remember that, too.
SUBWAY PLATFORMS! adding it. you could've broken bones! and i am sorry, mary, but you would not be cute in a full-body cast. xo
and yes, heather. esme has perfected the girl from the ring pose next to our bed at three in the morning. IT'S HEART-STOPPING!
sadly i have fallen down the stairs too, luckily i just hurt my back for a well, a while, but that's it. i have so many fears... especially since hubs travels way up there in the north all the time in the winter... days like this with skating-rink roads... oh yes... big fear.
also garbage disposals.
and elevators.
i adore that bunny - and that button, is it a button? I would love that on my jacket ;)
i shall clearly have to make my own fearless bandit bunny!!!
Oh my goodness, your last fear made me giggle. If I have girls one day (and oh, do I hope we do--I've heard enough stories about my husband as a child to be wary of having any little boys with a chance of being like him...though I suppose it's a risk with girls, too...), I hope they're half as fun as your girls seem to be. Seriously.
YOU'RE a little sweetheart! Happy weekend!
all of those things scare me too. ella likes to just stand over me when i'm sleeping. ca-reeps me out and i've been known to scream. I tell her, "say something, yell at me, push me....just don't stand there!" but it's better than a murder - yes.
anyhow.... happy weekend sweet, Karey!
XO

Hee hee ha ha ho ho...SO true about the donkey kicks and making aggressive weird noises just in case, WHILST donkey kicking. TAh-rust. :)
Have a spectacular weekend my friend!
xoxo

i fell down wooden stairs once running away from a bat.....
hurt like hell in case you are insterested
like michelle, i had to google balaclava... a jeep full of them?? scary indeed!
oh, i have many... here's {just} a few... http://torriesessions.blogspot.com/2011/08/fear-does-exist-in-this-dojo.html
Oh yes, piñata sticks and socks and stairs... anything that can break teeth... running around pools, top bunks. And sitting too close to the road in an outdoor cafe, just in case a car misses a turn..... cockroaches, phone calls from sick bay at school... my list is endless. I am a real fraidy cat. A-M xx
At night I walk out all calm and cool to bring the trash to where is belongs behind the garage and then I S. P. R. I. N. T. back to the door as fast as I can without even meaning to.
Bungee cords. I think Bella may injure me herself if she has to listen to one more of my lectures on the potential dangers of bungee cords.
And #3? You mean that OCD thing before sending email replies for fear that I've accidentally hit the dreaded "reply all." Yeah that. xo
laughed. out. loud.
thanks.
