i'm starting a cool new assignment next week, which makes me a mix of all aflutter and silly geeked up.
my first thought is always there's no way i can do this or man, this is going to be an epic fail. that's strange, isn't it? because i totally consider myself an everything's possible sort of a girl.
i guess a little anxiety and brief periods of wavering confidence keep us on our toes. plus it totally differentiates us from that wag at every fĂȘte who blathers on and on about how awesome her stuff is. right?
hoping your weekend's packed to the sundays with awesome stuff. plus kisses that make you lose your legs. ugh, how i wish i'd written that one. see you around, buttercup. xoxo.

You pretty much just summed up how I feel every day at work. Always just awaiting the epic fail. I guess I'm not alone. Thanks for that. I hope you surprise yourself with amazing success next week.
'Epic Fail'.. love it.. will have to add that to our vocab here. Big one at the moment with my pre-teen... 'Pro Skillage'.. when you do something awesome. That little dip in self confidence always occurs before you produce something better than you ever expected. Go girl. A-M xx
oh i feel exactly like this right now. EXACTLY. i have the opportunity to start an exciting project, something i've long thought of doing...and feel the same as you just described....
you'll be awesome. :) hope we can hear more about your assignment soon?
Hmmm... you said "buttercup" and I thought "buttercream", as in frosting, of course. I'm pretty sure that whatever your upcoming project/assignment/assignation/adventure is, well, that's just good karma for you. Pretty much anything involving buttercream frosting is, don't you think? Me too.
Scared is good. scared means you want it. and scared usually means you will invariably pull something amazing out of the hat {or somewhere else!!} and things will work out bigger than you ever dreamed.
i know you'll do great! xoxo
every epic fail turns into the most insane story though, doncha think. they've become less scary to me for the fun of the story i get to regale in after....n'est ce pas?
go big! no nets!! we'll all be there to clap and cheer our karey girl starrier paths.
xo,
katie
ha...my teenagers say 'epic fail' all the time. so funny. you will do great...everything IS possible (i'm that kinda girl too--it gets me in trouble sometimes though).
Oh, I can sympathize with the anxiety..! But this I know: you are brilliant. So. Go eat a salami sandwich and some cookies to ward off the witches - because you are fantastic, my friend.
xoxoox,

I am totally confused but good luck anyway
