of note...

stopped me in my tracks. i wish i'd written it.

also, my jakarta home and a few of my words are on design mom today. i like that gabrielle very much.

and the weirdest news of all? this.

i like those equals project ladies. they are good ones to support. and the piece i wrote for them is so different and more real than anything i've ever written before that when i saw my name on the front cover, my mouth filled up with panic water.

the more i write, the more i've found i can throw myself out there straight off the edge in terms of my words and feelings and opinions...far better than i can write my bio, much to my professional detriment.

ugh. i am not a good lister of accomplishments or associations. unless i am writing yours, that is.

ok, i haven't been following your blog very religiously, so I don't know if you are writing a book already, but saw your post on design mom and am wondering why aren't you writing a book already???? I would spend my husband's hard earned Omani Riyals to buy it, if you did - honest I would!!!

'mouth full of panic water' would be a great memoir name.

Oh, Karey. You're the example I'd give if someone asked me what it meant to have "a way with words".

Thanks so much for supporting our project--in all the ways--from the very beginning!

My heart leapt when I saw the first picture of your home on DesignMom. That's how I want my home to look and feel; comfortable, collected and quirky. Imagine my delight when I discovered you are in Jakarta, my childhood home, where I lived from fifth grade through graduation. I'll be a loyal reader, henceforth!

Great story on design mom! I learned so much from your words, especially about being a mom to your 3 kids and I feel that I need to engage with my kids better. I felt nostalgic reading about your life in Jakarta. It only ended a little over a month ago, but it already feels like ages ago. So strange...

It's Thanksgiving Day, and our family eats an early dinner instead of lunch. Just now there is a lull between the hectic preparations and all the guests arriving for the meal. I wanted to take some of that time to visit my blogging friends. I needed to say thank you. Thank you for the inspiration you provide here in your place and for the comments you leave behind when you visit mine. Happy Thanksgiving, friend.
