you need these...

i know you by now, i think. and i know what you need...

a few sincere compliments about how that bikini bottom makes your bum look teeny and how your smile lights up a cloudy afternoon. a genius mani/pedi in colors you wouldn't normally choose. a bangle or two that prompts pure strangers to grab your wrist and ask where the heck you got them and also helps other joggers hear you jingling when you're coming up behind them so there's not that awkward gasp-and-punch as you pass. a handful of jellybeans. an adventure that tickles your heart whenever you think about it. a baby that does the same. someone who can look you in the eyes and see the rest of your life...together. twinkly lights for when your smile isn't nearly enough to brighten up a starless night. a real and unexpected hug. your very own dirty joke you only tell after a few too many gin tonics. courage...or a few too many gin tonics. someone who's happy - no, thrilled - to see you no matter when or where. and a fresh and free set of business cards.

i could be wrong about the jellybeans. but if you're planning on attending alt design summit this year? i am not at all wrong about the business cards.

i don't mean to bore you with the details, but i must. one winner - who is at least eighteen and lives in the united states and hasn't won anything from UPrinting in the past six months - will be gifted a prize of 250 die-cut business cards. look at all the options and die-cut business card templates, will you? i am partial to the circles.

you know i love making business cards. my faves are these and these. i'll make new ones for myself later this month. you should totally make yours now.

visit UPrinting and check out their super cheap business cards. decide which one should be your new calling card; it's important to have a good one. then just leave a sweet comment on this post between today and wednesday, 3 august 2011. extra points for spreading give-away love via twitter. i'll choose the winner at random on thursday morning, okay?

okay, then.

what else do i need to tell you? details are not my thing. but i know you and they aren't really yours, either. presents that make us both happy, however, are our thing. of that, i am dead sure. a special thanks to UPrinting for this gift. because it really is...

I don't need a business card but my husband does. He graduates in September and I would love to win for him. I like the square rounded corners and the leaf design.
Also, I enjoy reading your blog:)

Sweets from the sweetest? I like this game. (I'm tempted to use exclamation points in excess here, I must confess)

I'm going this time, for the first time, and I can't wait to hug your neck again, sweets.

Well, this is a fantastic giveaway, indeed. I'm embarrassed to say I would probably order some boring standard shape but maybe I could be convinced to go with square. Either way, these are lovely. I especially like Esme's...

klout sent me a message today saying my klout status fell a whole point in a day. this would be relevant if i (A) even really knew what klout was (2) cared (d) didn't automatically lose track of what i was saying when i realized i was beginning to qutoe buzz mccallister (yes, home alone; buzz, your girlfriend... woof) and had to finish it which is now down okay but! karey! did you realize klout says you are an expert in one thing, and one thing alone? and do you know what that one thing is? CRAFTS.

i feel like next, they're going to tell me i'm an alligator wrassler. which, minus the obvious chomping, would be kind of cool. but just isn't otherwise.

anyway i'm using uprint for the stickers that are sealing our incredibly complicated wedding invitations. not the one saturday, but the one more like 52 saturdays from now. or 48. or something. anyway. ours are circle textured. they have bells on them. as our reply card wording is: _ will be there with bells on _ will be there, undecided on bells _ won't be there, heard there will be people wearing bells _ won't be there, regardless of the bell controversy. our reception cards, incidentally, use the words "time for champagne and dancing on the table" so i guess the bell part isn't much of a surprise. i'm now blabbering. anyway HIIII and those esme cards are tooooooooooooocute.

I like the slim, shaped like tickets, they make me smile. I am already thinking of whose wallet I will grace, I am not all that important mind you, but to someone I may be just the ticket they need ;)

Ooooo, I love it! I just got a job as a 2nd grade teacher and I would love something cute and fun besides the unfun ones I could order from them. Love it and your blog!

There's something so deliciously random about a business card giveaway in July... with a Random winner too! And maybe to go with that handful of jellybeans, we could throw in a handful of delicious chocolate chip cookies too. There's been a shocking lack of those lately. I'm just sayin'. And I'd like to book a play date with Esme, and can we throw in Grae and Lil too? We'll go on an Adventure that involves impractical hats and fabulous accents... and ice cream sodas...

always a good find...a printer with odd shapes. I'm an odd bird...so we go together well.

thanks for the tip.

I'm a big fan of the slim ones. These would make great playdate cards for my (soon to be two) kids.

I've been a fan of business cards ever since I was little. (I was a quirky child) And the shapes are so fun, I love the sweet square, so cute!

Also, I love this, it makes my heart smile. "...someone who can look you in the eyes and see the rest of your life...together" Thanks for your bright and perfect words. I love savoring each of your posts.

I have boring cards for my day job but I would love to have some pretty ones for teaching yoga!

Oh my HAT! I love love love all things paper. The oval cards would completely make my day, and since I just got a promotion and accepted to graduate school at a pretty awesome university, I could definitely use some new business card love.

And some jelly beans.

I got the really really great hug this weekend from my best friend as he returned from war though...no hug is better than one you have prayed and wished desperately for 15 months for! Talk about gifts... (random I know...but I'm still so excited about it I had to share with someone who would be excited with me!)

I spent at least two hours playing with business card ideas after seeing this. Oh boy.

Now I just need a business to have cards for--but I am starting to tutor for a few families, so it could be pretty useful. Maybe it could help me get started?

I really want my business cards to be like yours (the ones with your favorite words!), but I think they'd find me incredibly boring after such an introduction. Oh well.

We're just about to order some new business cards. There is a slight delay while we decide whether to order our fun design or to go with something a little more, ahem, restrained. As I write this it just seems silly though. Restrained is never the way to go.

Ooh! You with a business card giveaway and me with a new business! We were meant to be! Thanks for the opportunity.

Now I feel awful. I've been meaning to tell you all about how I usually skip the wordy blogs in my quest for eye candy, but not yours. You have a good thing going here.

As for the cards- maybe having one would give me a little nudge to gather my courage and take the leap.

you're right. i DO need these. because how embarrassing would it be to pass out the exact same cards at ALT as i did last year? ultra embarrassing.

I think you're right. I just moved to a new country a new school year is starting and *both* of my kids will be in school this year. I'm probably going to need to make some new friends and these just might help. I do need them!

Great post. I just got new cards for Type-A, and it’s the first time I’ve been really pleased with the info and design. Blog cards are tough to get right, so thanks for the info.
