normal...

my doctor's office called, and i'm fine!

or, as the nurse phrased it, as normal as you can be, honey.

between me and you and don't you dare tell a soul, i ignored that teeny dig and got a little choked up. i called uncle sugar straight-away and my fine sounded like a sob. he laughed it away as he always does, with a drawn-out, four syllable baby!

he asked baby...why do you still get so upset?

i guess probably because i'm still so upset.

next check-up, i'm going to be braver. more casual. totally all "what has two thumbs and doesn't care? this girl!" thank you for helping me through this one. it'll never happen again. promise. xoxo. p.s. what has two thumbs and is totally lying her pants off and will need you again for sure? this girl. also, i adore rose-colored glasses.

you may think i'm stretching it a bit, but i promise, you were non- stoo in my thoughts for the past week/ weekend. i was so upset over Friday's post that I couldn't even comment. it's a sunny day now that I read those words above ~ big sparkley hugs and kisses.

Amazing news. i think you're allowed a little tear though - its such a scary moment, either way.
i was 23 when I found a lump. For a week I waited terrified, having told no-one, to hear the results and I can tell you I cried a little too when they told me it was fibrous and all ok. Got another check up in 3 months. Am I allowed tears again?

so glad all went well with the doctor. i get nervous when i go sometimes too, for a number of reasons (like that tuberculosis dormant in my system -- i am fine though). bodies are so delicate. i think we should celebrate them more.

oh my goodness... what a roller coaster you have been on. sending love because I know that even though everything is wonderfully, thank Godlly okay... it is still a lot to have had all of that on your heart. we all know this but I hate when we are reminded how precious life is... sending love and light your way.

Karey, I am so glad you're fine. I think we all breath a collective sigh of relief at this sort of thing. Which is why I feel compelled to tell you this: Today, my doctor called to tell me that I've been diagnosed with mild dysplasia. I turned 28 just two weeks ago. I am in love, and finally with someone who deserves my in love. A past gyno once used the description "a textbook healthy cervix" during an annual exam of mine. It even became a joke among my friends, that phrase. I should never have been so smug.

In two weeks' time, I'm hoping it will be appropriate to breath a collective sigh of relief for me. Please keep your fingers crossed.

OH HELEN! i'm thinking of you, poor girl! i hate waiting. fingers crossed you're just fine.

{also. i am a big believer in karma, but i'm so sure you weren't being smug when you were all braggy about your cervix! that's not karma...that's just a bad case of coincidence. but just the fact that you're worried like that lets me know you're such a good person. good luck, you. xoxo.}
