things i learned this weekend...

i need glasses. and i'm silly crazy for these...

all pretending to be a grown-up, yes? i think i'm searching for that look.

this sings me wide awake, and makes me wonder if it was written for me...

just replace teddy bear with esmé.

this whispers me sleepy...

i met richie last week, which deserves its own post for sure. but all i'll tell you now is that it floors me when imaginary friends become even more magical when they're real. it absolutely floors me. plus, i adore her because she posts genius like this...

i've watched it three times already.

and speaking of imaginary friends, you sent me so many notes last week when i was away. that makes me grin. it's nice when we worry over each other, don't you think?

natalie even sent me this picture...

along with a note that read, in part, this is how your blog makes me feel.

floored.

thank you. all of you. xoxo. and if my words are intermittent this week, it's because we're refreshing our kitchen a bit with new cabinets and shelving. i'm sure that won't take long, right? right?!

God I love you...even more now reading those words up there. Yours, theirs(if you change teddy bear to Chooch & take out the hanging up part) it could be written for me too, I think) and the whispery ones. And I loved visiting Richie just now, to see how you two had so much fun together) and though I was a tiny bit jealous, I think she hit the nail on the head with the princess Di comparison. Also, I think you need some black rimmed specs. Pronto. Rock them as I know you will.
xoxo

Those things always take three times longer than they are supposed to. We are in the middle of an attic remodel.

glad to see you!

Love those lyrics - did you mention the song it came from and I missed it? I'd love to know.

Do you watch parenthood? Mae Whitman character has some awesome glasses, similar to the photo. I want.

I missed you! That Greyson video is just unbelievable, isn't it? Better by far than Gaga. Chills up and down the spine.

Also, that "She's the girl..." bit sounds like me, a lot! That's probably a really weird thing to say, cause we'll all read it and think of someone else, so I sound like a narcissist, don't I? But even the bad parts remind me of myself. I'm totally that girl that hangs up, calls back, and says sorry. And I laugh WAY too hard at my own jokes, when everyone else is just laughing at me.

I like that Esmé is your teddy bear though:) xo

OMG - that kid playing the piano and singing Lady Gaga..! Genius is right. Now THAT is the definition of cool, speaking of cool, no? Holy Mackerel.

And words, words, I always love words when I visit here... and that last photo is sheer joy. Your blog also makes me feel that way, Karey.

I've been away, too, and I'm still not really back. Not really. But I just wanted to stop by and give you a big hug. Because your blog and words always make me feel good. And. Well, that. Thank you, dear.

xoxoxoox,
-maria
